Finally! I have got my eager
little paws on the long awaited Revlon Lip Butters! Revlon promised us the
world with these lip butters, did they deliver?
The Revlon Lip Butters are
halfway between a lip balm and a lipstick. I would say these lean more towards
the lipstick side. Being a lip balm aficionado, I had high hopes for the lip
butters but I didn’t find them to be as hydrating as I hoped they would be. It goes on lovely and looks nice and glossy
for about an hour when the glossy look wears off however the colour remains for
between 2-3 hours.
I thought the price tag of
£7.99 was a little steep, and then I saw the packaging (I’m a sucker for nice
packaging!). They look like a lipstick and the outside is the same colour as
the product inside which I love!
The colours I got were 080
Strawberry Shortcake and 025 Peach Parfait. I don’t like the peach parfait as
it has too much gold shimmer for my liking but I do really like the strawberry
shortcake.
Overall, I really like the
Revlon Lip Butters, they have great colour payoff and they have a nice smooth
texture to them. For me, this product is a nice creamy lipstick; I wouldn’t use
this as a lip balm.
