Glossy Box August

I'm a bit late in getting this post up but here is what I received in my Glossy Box.

I was really impressed by the DHC Deep Cleansing Oil.  Being an oily skin sufferer, I didn’t really fancy the thought of adding more oil to my skin!  However, I had heard good reports about the Shu Uemura face oils so I thought I would give this one a go.  It removed my makeup including mascara quickly and easily.  My skin felt squeaky clean after using it and it didn’t leave any residue behind.  This is great for those nights when you get home late and you want a quick way to wash your face.

I was disappointed when I saw Lipcote in my Glossy Box, it reminded me of my early teens and one word......drying.  Determined to try to get my lipstick to see it past my first morning coffee, I decided to give Lipcote a second chance.  I applied it over the Glossy Box lipstick and then applied a little Elizabeth Arden 8 Hour Cream on top.  It did make my lipstick last much longer and it wasn’t quite as drying as I remembered it being.  A few hours after I applied it, my lips did feel a little dry. I wouldn’t use this as an everyday product but this would be ideal for nights out.

Origins Ginger Souffle Whipped Body Cream

I first heard about this Body Cream from Tanya Burr (Pixi2woo on you tube) and I was immediately intrigued by the word “Souffle”. I’m a marketing dream; I am immediately pulled into products when they call them things like Cleansing Milk or Body Souffle! It seems to make them sound even more luxurious. I have to be honest, the ginger scent didn’t really appeal to me however as soon as I smelt it, I was hooked. The scent is very fresh and the ginger is not too over powering. The body cream itself is lovely, it rubs in easily to the skin and doesn’t leave a tacky residue. I can really feel the difference the next day. My skin feels soft and still lightly fragranced.
