Liz Earle Orange Flower Botanical Body Wash

I got this shower gel as a birthday present and I absolutely love it! It smells amazing, you can really smell the essential oils. The naturally active ingredients are organic oats and yarrow, rose scented geranium and natural vitamin E. It lathers up well and leaves the skin feeling clean, soft and lightly scented. Another excellent product from Liz Earle.

Revlon Lip Butter

Finally! I have got my eager little paws on the long awaited Revlon Lip Butters! Revlon promised us the world with these lip butters, did they deliver?

The Revlon Lip Butters are halfway between a lip balm and a lipstick. I would say these lean more towards the lipstick side. Being a lip balm aficionado, I had high hopes for the lip butters but I didn’t find them to be as hydrating as I hoped they would be.  It goes on lovely and looks nice and glossy for about an hour when the glossy look wears off however the colour remains for between 2-3 hours.

I thought the price tag of £7.99 was a little steep, and then I saw the packaging (I’m a sucker for nice packaging!). They look like a lipstick and the outside is the same colour as the product inside which I love!

The colours I got were 080 Strawberry Shortcake and 025 Peach Parfait. I don’t like the peach parfait as it has too much gold shimmer for my liking but I do really like the strawberry shortcake.

Overall, I really like the Revlon Lip Butters, they have great colour payoff and they have a nice smooth texture to them. For me, this product is a nice creamy lipstick; I wouldn’t use this as a lip balm.

Clinique Anti-Blemish Solutions

I was struggling with my skin for a sometime. It seemed to be very oily in the t zone area, very dry on the chin area and my cheeks were normal (at one point i was using about 3 different moisturisers!). I was prone to breakouts and felt like I had tried every cleanser the market had to offer. I was having to use a whole host of different products to try and combat the oiliness and nourish the dry patches. I was desperately looking for a simple skincare solution that would suit my strange combination of oily/normal/dry skin.

I had heard about the Clinique Anti-Blemish Solutions but I was dubious about trying it as I was concerned that it would be too harsh on my sensitive skin and make my chin ever drier. I was amazed by this skincare system! Not only did it banish my blemishes, but it didn't feel harsh or dry out my skin. After the second time I used the 3 step, I could instantly see that my skin was less oily around the t zone and my chin was not nearly as dry. After about 4 weeks I could see a huge improvement in the overall condition of my skin. I was getting less blemishes and when i did get them, they were much smaller and went away much quicker (if I could leave them alone!).

It’s now 3 months down the line, I am still using the 3 step anti blemish solutions and i will continue to do so. It’s quick and easy and leaves my skin feeling squeaky clean. This is the only skincare system I have found that keeps my skin well balanced. My only complaint (if I were to be really picky) would be the smell of the cleanser and toner. It’s not over powering however it does have a slight medicinal scent to it. Overall i would give the 3 step anti blemish solutions a big thumbs up!
